Making the switch to executive management
How ready are you or others in your organization to perform in executive-level roles? Through improved role comprehension, cross-functional relationship planning, and growth opportunity identification, this program assists current and potential executive team members in accelerating their impact on the business.
This program will challenge you to think more systemically, partner more cross-functionally, and ask more thoughtful questions.Additionally, you’ll hone the abilities and dispositions required to succeed in a senior leadership position.
Senior executives are essential to an organization’s capacity to boost output and achieve strategic objectives. They are usually executives who have the ability to collaborate across functions to maximize organizational performance in addition to supervising functional responsibilities.
These executives will be pushed by this program to think beyond their areas of expertise, collaborate differently across functions, take greater responsibility for the organization’s talent pipeline, and take charge of their leadership development. Wisconsin school of business.

History
Expanded upon the Wisconsin Concept
In 1944, CPED was established as The Industrial Management Institutes. It was established to address the industry’s demand for supervisors to receive specialized training. The School of Commerce and the University of Wisconsin Extension Division jointly sponsored these Institutes, which were established under the Engineering, Science, and Management War Training Program of the US Office of Education. The program received complete cooperation and support from the Wisconsin Manufacturer’s Association.
386 plant superintendents, foremen, and supervisors attended 23 Institutes during its first year of operation. The Industrial Management Institutes received such positive feedback that the School of Commerce and the Extension Division expanded their purview to better encompass the allied management disciplines.
Although a lot has changed since 1944, our primary goal of offering specialized business training has remained constant. We take pride in advancing the Wisconsin Idea by offering comprehensive, engaging professional development programs that support the advancement of both individuals and organizations.
